Meet the Team

Imran Hussein
Imran Hussein holds an MA in Islamic Studies and a BSc in Engineering, and has studied Qur’anic Arabic at SOAS. An author and researcher with a background in philosophy and worldview analysis, he provides critical insight, context, and guidance on this rapidly evolving subject.

Faruq McDermott
Faruq McDermott is an author and researcher focused on exotic phenomena and their interpretation within Islamic thought. He studied at Madinah University and continues his Islamic studies and research, with particular interests in theology, metaphysics, and contemporary anomalous claims.

Tariq Kurd
Holds a BA Hons in History and has a deep passion for learning with a keen interest in military and Tribal history. He is an avid writer and speaks multiple languages which is an invaluable tool in researching.

Abu Zakariyyah
Author of Forbidden Prophecies, The Eternal Challenge, and Jesus: Man, Messenger, Messiah. He has been teaching the world about Islam, magic, and the occult for many years. His drive for knowledge and analytical approach make him an invaluable member of the team.

Isa Hales
A history buff with a thirst for knowledge. With over a decade of experience building computers, his methodical approach to investigating brings conformity. His favorite topics include Science and the Occult, History and Islam.

Abu Salih
With a BTech in Computer Systems and Networking and Security, Abu Salih acts as the digital architect for the team. He combines technical discipline with a passion for graphic design to shape IREP’s visual identity. His personal research delves into the mysteries of ancient civilizations, alternate history, and eschatology.

Dr. Uthman Lateef
He has a BA in History, an MA in Crusader Studies, and has completed a PhD in the Place of Fada'il al-Quds and Religious Poetry in the Muslim effort to recapture Jerusalem in the Crusades. He also has a PostDoc in Politics and International Relations. He is the author of several other books.

Afaaq Siddiqui
Holding a BA in Finance, he brings a strong analytical foundation to IREP’s mission. With a deep passion for history and exotic phenomena, he contributes his skills toward expanding IREP’s reach and ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of research, engagement, and public discourse.

Khalid Khatri
Khalid is a researcher focusing on atheism, materialism, and contemporary challenges to Islamic theism. He is the founder of Incisive Thoughts, a platform where academics, scholars, and researchers present their work on philosophy, theology, and religion.
